I looked into this cart thinking it would be like the others boy was i wrong. This is the hardest nes game to build it was very frustrating. There is but one donor for this cart Super Mario Bros. 2 but you have to track one down that has all 72 pins on the pcb (most are missing a chunk in the middle). Then you take that cart and remove the maskroms. After that you take an 8kb static ram chip from another board and convert one or the maskrom sockets to work with another ram. then you install the eprom in the other maskroms socket and finally add the battery circuit. It was a sloppy job and i regret being so careless with it but im sure ill make a cleaner modded one someday.
So I first removed the label from the cart(those are tough labels)
the front of the pcb(you can see the battery circuit i had to add to the game)
the back of the pcb
and mounted in the case
and it working!
im so glad building its over but im happy i get to play it now
well i started toying around with making labels this one i made in photoshop and its cut horribly ive never used photoshop before so it took forever! heres a couple pics
lol at least it looks better than the games name written on the cart with marker
