Few easy questions (I think)

Hey all,

I have a worklog for my project over at made-by-bacteria, but there has been a lack of traffic, so I thought id ask here
1)How do I wire a LED to a trimmed board. (I see the two annode and cathode traces are streamed into some capacitors, but I dont know which to solder to)

2)I have a poly case and I frankencased almost everything in. However, when I primed it, around where I put the button stuff in, the filler makes it look really tacky and rough. I find it hard to sand, and the filler is hard to get smooth enough. Any ideas?

Thanks!

1. Well, you want to hook the negative end of the LED to ground, and the postive end to a resistor hooked up to one of the following places:
If your LED is less than 5 volts, the 3.3V line.
If your LED is ~5 volts, the output of the 7805.
If your LED is higher, the 12V line.

As for the "tacky" filler, you just have to sand it way down going higher and higher in the grits as you go. Start at like 60 grit and work up to 600-1000.
