FC 16 go CIC chip install

hey was poking around the inside of the FC 16 go and noticed a place to solder a CIC chip for full compatability. however when reading on benheck's fourms someoen tried it and it did not work as the cap needed to be put someplace other than ground apparently and was wondering if anyone had some info on how to complete the mod. pictures are in this topic. http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=35333 thanks! as im going to want mario rpg working for a road trip

This is interesting. I know close to nothing about the SNES, however. Is CIC a chip from an original SNES? And would it replace the chip labeled SIC on the FC-16 Go?

It goes on the empty spot where the lockout chip would/should be.

yeah but i heard that you need to install that Dang cap to get it to work and they never completed listing that mod and i searched for it over here and over there as well.
