DVD Drive MEGA error

Hey..

I've had a 4.2u bannerbomb hacked wii for the past few months and its been working fine
Loading from the USB
Playing backup GC games


Untill now!!! ...

My dvd drive has stoped reading discs

Im sooo sad...

For some reason it just will not open any disc

I'v tryed it on REAL wii official games ( from the store )

And from backup wii ( and GC ) games ( THERE BACKUPS.... i bought the game and then burned it )

I can still play games from the usb...( not GC )

I have tryed different CIOS rev 7,14,17,15,12 and so on...




Did nintendo do this to modded wii's

sounds like your DD just went bad, that's all. Maybe the laser wore out or something.

well nintendo's making a new system for 2011 anyway

But do you think it would work if i downgraded my wii

Aren't those only rumors about any new nintendo consoles for the near future?
maybe you should try buying this:

and install it, see if it helps. First though, open your wii. Put a disk into the drive and see if you can find a red light showing on the disk from the laser on the other side. If you don't, the disk drive is kaput.

For now, just use usb loaders.

I've heard that it won't be a new system at all. Just a smaller, more cost-effective Wii.
