or you can put together some money and buy a decent synth and just get a modulated bassline going, thats really all it is. then midi sync it with acid 6

Add Sub bass
+ - + - < Use that Meter
Snare every 3rd beat
70-90 BPM
Simple Treble Melodies
Focus On The Bass
Use same melody for Wobble and Sub Bass
Use a darker key. Dubstep = Dark Music
Remember, simple and catchy is key.
Try to not keep the wobble speed the exact same throughout the whole song.

also does having a hi pass rather than a low pass make it sound better? i ushally use low pass, but im guessing thats realated to why mine ushally sounds like poo

FL is for newfags. It's great to get a feel I guess, but any program that you can make a bass synth instrument and modulate the waveforms you can get a good wub.

Aside from that, listen to some reggae, listen to some UK garage, and just go at it.

Ignore anything you was taught in music theory

You're essentially making music for people who are *Can'tSayThisOnTV*ed up on ecstacy or ketamine, so theres no need to be a perfectionist at all, although it sounds lazy, making sure everything is perfect is actually just wasting your time if you're going for that sort of sound.

Also, don't rely too much on wobble, wobble bass is a dying trend in favor for soul vocal samples and uplifting instruments (trancey snyths are quite quickly making their way in), i'm not sure if you're making it just because you love it, but don't look to other dubstep for infulences, Trance, Techno & House music styles all sound good with the Dubstep pattern, Reggae & Filthy dubstep is just a overly tired concept that really outstayed it's welcome, be original.
