Coby - 15" LED Quick question

I was looking through Best Buy when I saw this screen http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Coby+-+15%2 ... &cp=1&lp=1

I was wondering if anyone could tell me before I decide to purchase it if it would be worthwhile to use as a screen for an Xbox laptop? I wouldn't want to gut it to find out the innards are ridiculously large/it's not useable.

It's an inch and a half thick... Depending on how clever you are, the smallest you could expect to make the top of your laptop is about 3/4"

IF I had the money, I would likely grab it as a cheap screen with nice connectivity, but for an Xbox laptop, I doubt it's what you want.

You might be surprised. I got a ~13" LCD last year for the same purpose, and it was kind of thick. But inside, I found that the board was connected to the LCD with a strand of wires instead of a ribbon, which would allow the board to be in the bottom of the case if you wanted to keep the top as thin as possible. The thickest parts of the board were the connectors and TV tuner, remove those and it could probably fit in a 1/2" top.
