Chargers for First N64P

For my first N64P I plan on using 7.4V LiPo batteries to power the system as well as the other necessities and the batteries I obtained came from a portable dvd player. I am also using the screen from a PsOne LCD screen.

What I am wondering is if I can use the original charger that came with the portable dvd player to charge the batteries. It says on the charger that the output is 12V / 3A, but the reason I am worried is because I don't want to blow up the batteries (since the batteries are not 12V). Also, would the original PsOne charger be strong enough to power the system via wall power?

The DVd player charger will only work if you also use the charging circuit in the dvd player, which I assume is not still going to be connected.

If not you will need a 7.4v smart charger and pcb from batteryspace.com

Yes the Psone power supply will work if it is the 2A or 3A one.

Well I thought that this (shown below) was the charging circuit.

I also noticed that it is called the management board, from this (below) topic.

From what I have read in the topic above, couldn't I just have ONE port for charging, and use with wall-power whether my system is ON or OFF instead of TWO ports?

I will feel so much better with this being answered because powering my system is the ONLY thing in my way right now..
