cart slot relocation help

Im a huuge noob at soldering and im having some trouble with the cart slot relocation. could anyone give me some help and methods on properly attaching the wires the pins.

I use the wire from the controller. It's flexible and easy to use.

If you aren't already using a chisel tip on your soldering iron, I really recommend one. I just realized how much easier soldering is with the chisel tip a few days ago.
