Buds trimming guide question

I the buds trimming guide, what should I do with the power buttom and the reset buttom? I will it need, cause I will use an everdrive64

Use a multimeter and find the traces and where they go.

Does that trimming guide work for NTSC and PAL consoles? It doesn't mentions anything
