BP 511 Batteries and Chargers - What are your experiences?

So I bought an allegedly 2500mah battery and a fitting charger.

My N64 + screen takes 1.2A @7.43V and runs for 33 minutes before the protective circuit of the battery switches the battery to 0V.

This means that either the charger doesn't charge the batterie enough or that the battery only has about 700mah and not 2500mah.
The charger states that it charges with 600mah. It takes 1h40min to charge the battery

I am wondering if anyone of you might have made some experiences with the BP 511 type of batteries and would like to share.

Sounds like that battery is just old. As lithium batteries get old, their capabilities diminish quickly, especially on cheaper cells. (Ever noticed how older ipods tend to have maybe 2hr battery life despite having 20hr when they were new?)
