Best and easiest way to power a GC and 3.5/4.3 both DC 12v??

Hay guys,
I'm making my own GameCube portable. (thrid time, thrid attempt)
Everything's good and all gathering all the materials for the portable.

But, I'm puzzled about the batteries for powering the GC (12v) and an eBay 3.5 or 4.3 inch TFT LCD screens (12v).

I was thinking of getting the GC rechargeable battery pack thing, The one that give 2 hours about.
I already own one that's for 1.5 hours, but these are heavy, large and take forever to charge fully
12 hours charging - 1.5hours .

so, I won't be using these for the reasons above.

I was thinking, an li ion 14.8v 4000mah will power the GC (12v) and screen (12v) fine?
I mean the volts are over 12v that the GC and screen both need to be 12v,
They won't burn out or stop working because of the over voltage given to them?

Oh, and what's the easiest and best way to power both the GC and screen?
What materials are needed for this easy process etc.

Like I wanted a lion that gives power to the GC and screen for 2 hours.
What will I need to buy/make/mod for this?

You can have the best way, or the easiest way, but not both.

The easiest way would be to wire the right plugs on the batteries.

The best way requires reading and research, but zenloc already laid a good bit of it out in his custom regulator guide, and the rest can probably be found in the screens section.

iirc can the gamecube original regulator work on any voltage between 12 and 18v. Over voting the screen on the other hand wouldn't be a good idea.

You don't. The stock GC reg can take upwards of 30v and still run fine.

The easiest way would be to wire the right plugs on the batteries.

yeah, the easiest method is wiring the right plugs together,
+ to +
- to -

which is red to red and black to black, i think.

true, so no need for custom reg, if using a battery with volts >11.1v
and that's super that the stock reg GC can go to 12v from 18v. so a 14.8v would work just fine
but the screen is a bumper, it needs only 12v no more no less.

so. that said.

i'll need a li ion battery to power both the gc (12v) = 14.8v is fine
but it has be be able at the same time to power the screen at 12v (no 14.8v for screen)

and give power for 2 hours (as hailrazer told me the MAH is the play time, so
2200 is 1 hour,
4400 is 2 hours and so on, right?

so i'll need to buy/find a battery li ion that can do the following:

battery > gc 12v
Battery > screen 12v

and last for two hours.

any good suggestions?
oh, and i'm going to put in inside the case, so i should be lightweight.
if not i can have it on the outside.

amazon uk doesn't seem to have it in stock, but it's 12v and 4800 mAh which will power the gc and screen for two hours? maybe more?

is this a good battery to buy?
