Hello Guys,
i´m almost done with my modded Wavebird Controller. But 2 Days ago i reached a point i can´t pass without help.
I want to use the Battery of the Wii U Controller with my Wavebird wireless Controller.
The recharge Controller (linked with the battery) or how ever its called got 4 wires (3x Black and 1 Red) I have tried to link 2 wires with an LED in every combination but it won´t work.
But with the Battery it self it does work...

If there is someone who understand my bad english and is willing to help, i can send pic´s and give more information if needed.

Thx

You probably won't be able to use that battery on its own. It is a lithium ion battery, and those kinds of batteries need a protection circuit to function properly. That protection circuit can be found inside the Wii U Pro Controller, but I don't know how it works.

Thx for your Time!

I just made some Pictures wich maybe that help.
The Battery is linked with a smal board which was connected to the mainboard.
is this maybe this "Protection circuit"?

I tested which of the pins are connected through the Board.

Like he said, that type of battery need a protection circuit, but I am 99% sure that battery is like a cellphone one, the protection circuit is included inside the battery, which means, if you look at it you see the "+" and "-" sign, these are from the protection circuit, so you could probably solder directly to it... but you better open to battery a little bit, if there is a cell and a PCB, you have your protection circuit!

That's one of the reasons I think it is included, the other one is because usually, a battery without a protection circuit is just a cell, so it is "flexible" and looks cheap, when you have to possibility to change the battery(like the wii u controller one, or a Nintendo Ds one, or a cellphone one), it require more security, so it is packed with the protection circuit in a hard plastic case.

Exemple:

No protection circuit, usually seen in some portable dvd player, when the battery cannot be removed without opening it all the way:

With protection circuit, because you can change it when you want:

Well, the second Battery you posted looks exactly like the one i´m willing to use.
So the protection circuit might be in the Battery.

So it seems like i don´t need the board with his 4 wires?!

If i just use the Battery, how do i make the "recharge circle"?
1. (+) of the battery with (+) of the Controller
2. then to the mico USB
3. then to the (-) of the controller
4. then to the (-) of the battery

Thx Guys

I seriously don't know what this board is for lol, but no, you probably don't need it, there's not even a connection from it to the battery...

For recharging, if I'm not wrong, you just have to connect these three together:

+ from the battery
+ from the controller
+ from the usb plug

then these three:

- from the battery
- from the controller
- from the usb plug

so when the usb is plugged in, current will just flow through the battery to recharge it
