Battery charger - Adapter

I have a battery with a sorta of dock that charges it. Its input is 13.5 volts it says, but nothing else. Would it still charge, but slower, if I use a 12 volt 1 amp adapter, because I lost the correct one.


Or will it just blow up the dock thing or just not charge at all?


EDIT:

The battery is 7.4v. The dock accepts 13.5 to quick charge it. It doesnt specify amperage.
