AC adapter powered GCp

I have been making a GCp that is powered by an Ac adapter to save on space and many other things. I have everything hooked except for the monitor. Once the monitor is hooked up (which is 9 volts) the AC adapter turns off. It works again after waiting for like 2 minutes.

Its a RevisionC board and I do believe the display has its own power regulator. I will give whatever information helps.

Could be your adapter doesn't have enough amps to power the system
Just what I was thinking. More amps = powering more things at once. If you power the monitor separately, does it work? If it does, I'd definitely say you just need a higher-amp power supply.

Yes thank you both. The monitor took well on its own, it was just once coming from the same power supply as the mobo it would cut out (sometimes). With slightly more amps its all fine.

thanks again
