Yeah, I think you are thinking about the SNES. I know my NES stuff pretty good, and I've never heard of a game needing to check for the lockout. If I made another one I would definitely look into the Japanese components. The joystick does have a little more throw than I would prefer.

The CopyNES only connects to the pc for dumping/flashing carts. Unless you are an assembly programmer with an interest in programming for the NES it would be pointless. If you wanted to make NES fit inside the pc, then connect it to a video capture card on your PC, that would be one option.

You should be able to go to the dell website and enter the model number. It should have all the drivers you need available for download.

Yes, I realize that is what the original one is, but I'm sure it doesn't pull that much amperage. I'm also not using the 7805 voltage regulator, but a different 5v adapter connected directly to the board. If I hooked up a 9v source my board would be officially fried.

I've removed the RF/AV unit. It is a 5v 700mA adapter.

I'm using an AC adapter rated at 700mA, will this be adequate or should I go with something a little higher? I should mention that I have a USB copyNES connected as well, so I guess it could possibly pull a little extra than a normal NES.
