Is this a suitable LCD for a Gamecube handheld?

Looking for something that is both at a good price and is 4:3/640x480. I can't see any voltage specifications or anything. Has anyone tried one of these? http://www.ebay.ca/itm/New-5inch-tft-lc ... 27c7147056

The WiiP [ Upd. 10 March - Battery Question]

This is blowing my mind, very cool stuff so far, I've been contemplating a Wii portable, but have been questioning it due to the weight of the Wii, but I'm assuming that is mostly the DVD drive, could the Wii operate via SD loaders without a DVD drive, much like Gamecube portables? assuming...

Utilizing random things for making handheld cases?

Lets make a thread specific to this, where people can post their ideas for making cases from generic things lying around the house, from toys to toolkit cases. I'll start by throwing this out there, has anyone tried making a case out of... a Polly Pocket? it's hard to say without knowing the...

    well imma buy n64

If it comes with the red expansion pack (required for games like Majora's Mask, Donkey Kong 64, etc) then its an OK deal, not great. However, you can absolutely get a better deal at yard sales for example, could probably get it for this price with the hookups and a few controllers and games...

    SnC Cube portable

Yikes, did you prime it first? some plastics will react this way when it either lacks primer, or you put the paint on too thick (especially on the first coat) always kind of mist the first coat on.

    Predues new GCp (PreCube Advance?)

Looking great man, sorry to hear about the plastic breaking between the R/Z buttons, to be honest, when I first saw the holes cut early on in the thread that's the first thing that came to mind, hehe. Looking forward to seeing more progress/finished results, keep it up! I can't wait to start...

    Component to proprietary adapters (8-Pin) L8006/L8008 LCD's

Re: Component to S-Video adapters (8-Pin) I found that this TFT LCD I bought (L8008), and others similar to it have full support for YPbPr, so it is definitely possible for progressive scan, however, after doing hours of searching, none of the bundles came packaged with the cable I need (this...

    Component to proprietary adapters (8-Pin) L8006/L8008 LCD's

Re: Component to S-Video adapters (8-Pin) This is what it shows for input labels on the site, the YPbPr being there had me wondering, why would they put that there if using component through s-video would be interlaced the same as composite? maybe there is still a small upgrade in picture...

    Component to proprietary adapters (8-Pin) L8006/L8008 LCD's

Re: Component to S-Video adapters (8-Pin) You're right, been doing a little more reading, for some reason I thought component cables could support progressive scan in any sense, through S-video or standard YPbPr, I'm disappointed now, was looking forward to getting the best possible picture on...

Re: Component to S-Video adapters (8-Pin) Edit: Learned progressive scan is impossible through S-video, boo.

    Component to proprietary adapters (8-Pin) L8006/L8008 LCD's

I've been wanting to find a Component to proprietary cable for my 8" TFT LCD that is on the way so I can play my Gamecube games with progressive scan using my Wii, it appears to be some sort of 8-pin proprietary connection, that supports VGA/YPbPr. I've found adapters for the 7 and 9 pin...

Looking for an LCD screen (around 5.6") with RCA input

Alright, so after a few days of searching for hours, I finally found something for a 'decent' price. (it's definitely rare to find small TFT LCD's with a 4:3 aspect ratio with available inputs) it's bigger than I was shooting for, but this will do. I'm a little concerned about quality and how...

Looking for an LCD screen (around 5.6") with RCA input

My main concern about these TFT LCD's is the power cord they come with, they seem to be setup to be installed in a car with no wall plug on one side, would I be able to buy an appropriate power adapter that could work for them? Thanks for the reply :)
