OMGWTF Controller Wiring How exactly would I wire a controller to an OMGWTF-cut board? I understand I need to relocate the controller transistors to the GPU vias. Where do I hook up the data from the controller? (P1 obviously)

    SNESp Worklog

Did some stuff yesterday. Removed that crappy soldering job on the capacitors. Got some new ones coming in the mail. Also started on the power wiring. 7805 on RS Heatsink PS1 AC Adapter In Charge Jack. Also removed the controller ports. Excuse the phone pics. I can provide better ones if...

    Capacitor Replacements

Re: Re: Capacitor Replacements Thank you very much! I'll order some capacitors and fix my crappy soldering job. One last question. Does the tolerance matter?

    Capacitor Replacements

Re: Re: Capacitor Replacements I meant smaller physically but thank you for the insight. Question. The capacitors on the board have a positive and a negative. Is there a certain type (npn, pnp) that I need to get?

    Capacitor Replacements

My SNES system has 8 50v 33uF capacitors on the board. Can I replace these with smaller (if possible) or new ones (with uncut legs)?

    SNESp Worklog

Attempting a SNESp out of a mini-SNES and a slightly broken PS1 screen. So far, I've rewired the capacitors on the back of the board. I've also started on desoldering the cartridge slot. I'm still having trouble with several of the pins not wanting to give up their solder? Any tips? Will be...

    Help Desoldering a Cartridge Slot

Well, tried the add solder method. Worked for a couple. Going to try some desoldering braid/wick once I have another chance to go to Radioshack again. Thanks guys!

    Help Desoldering a Cartridge Slot

I'm having some difficulty desoldering the cartridge slot on my SNES. About 50 of the 62 pins are free, but I have around 10 or so that just will not desolder. They look like the solder is level with the board. I try pressing the desoldering iron against the pin (covering it) and trying to...

Powering an NES without the Daughter Board

Thanks. I'm horrible with schematics but that looks like it. So the gray box on the left is the leads from the power jack?

Powering an NES without the Daughter Board

Okay. I'm trying to miniaturize an NES into a smaller casing. I would like to take out the daughter board (the corner board to the right of the cartridge slot which has the A/V and AC in). I know how to wire up the video out and the audio out. Only thing I don't know is how to wire the adapter...
