This is true. They would have max you can put in, yes.

If it's a passive sub, you would need some way to amplify the sound going to it. The bazooka tube, which looks like it's going to be what I go with, is active, so needs no external amplification.

Also how difficult did you find it to route the battery and audio cables to it? Did your radio have a dedicated sub out, or did you install a crossover?

You didn't have to install another alternator? A friend of mine seems to think anything above 100w does, but that seems a little far fetched.
