Just for reference, my Digikey order to build four of these came out to $15 plus shipping. The only tricky part is finding something to program the PICs with, but I've seen ways to do that with an Arduino Uno if you've got one.

So I got the replacement relays ordered (and a few more Molex connectors just for fun) so later this week I should have all the Cube64s up and running. Hopefully I can test at least one soon to make sure it all works. In the meantime I threw together a schematic to detail the controller...
