Well, it's been over a year, and it's finally done.
After I nearly gave up due to a loose cart slot wire (it was hard to find, really!) I finished it quickly so I could take it to school before it ended for the year. This thing is massive, heavy, and awkward, not to mention just plain ugly. But I put a lot of work into it, and I'm still proud of my accomplishment.
Features (in random order): -3.5" TFT LCD (small but pretty good) -NUS-CPU-08 motherboard (lightly trimmed) -ZN-40 case with huge lump -jumper pak (all I had, and an expansion pak wouldn't fit anyway) -SuperPad Plus controller board, heavily trimmed -Initial DVD player battery and PCB -can play and charge simultaneously (with powerful enough adaptor) -DualShock shoulder buttons with twin Z -XBOX stick caps, one XBOX and one DualShock stick -switchable sticks for playing Goldeneye -stereo sound with volume control -two power switches -unconnected dock connector and useless switch -dubiously effective heatsink setup
Feel free to criticize and slam it all you wish. After all, I do it to everyone else. plz dont be 2 mean, i get sad and eat more & get sadder

I like it. I've given up on three or four projects without finishing them so you're a better man than me! Good stuff. This will make you even more motivated for number two.
