Yea I wanted to so much, but it's so small an area it threw everything off, plus I'm not good at spray painting.

Happy new year, time for one of the last updates, I'm very close to finishing the portable, maybe today even. All I've got left to do is some wiring here and there, then install the controller and it's done.

Only problem is I've got some serious interference on the video line, and using nice wire doesn't seem to do the trick. The lines are really bad. Unfortunately the portable might have to make it's finished video debut with a screen full of lines.

:cry: That sucks man. Try keeping all the wires away from power wires when you close it up. I dont get that much interference if I do that even though Im not using shielded wires.

Just for giggles, strip a rca wire, like a shielded one from a console or from a dvd player. Wire it up to the screen and ground the shielded bare wire in the rca cord to the screen and to the Gamecube.

Solved all my problems.

Like I said in the PM, shielded wire(connecting ground on both sides of it) and then maybe a toroid and diode, nukear's correct about wire placement, that's important too.

If you aren't seeing anything change, then it's not interference.
