Long story short, I have bad grades so i no longer have a tv to test, i was bored and re wired my wiikey, turn it on, I get one blue light that blinks on and off once and thats it, it will blink every time i press the eject button. That good or bad?

Try holding down the eject button for more than 2 - 3 seconds. That should do the trick. Also don't forget to press pin 29 disc sense button at startup. That's how I got mine to work.
Hope this helps you.
