I have my battery supply which has 14.8v which really turns out to go up to 16v and my screen can only take up to 15v according to the specifications (i don't really want to try and fry it). so i have a voltage regulator going down to 12v. The thing is making way too much heat and is slightly melting the hot glue on the inside of my gamecube, I don't want to case it all up with this regulator in and have it melting all the glue and overheating everything inside. i do have a fan on the inside but its not cooling it down quite enough.
Is there any way to drop the voltage to just below 15v at least without making a lot of heat? Would a 15v regulator make less heat? or is there any other alternatives for this?
