Quick Audio Jack question.

Does a audio jack require a amplifier or can I just connect it strait to the av sound output? I am making a temporary set up on my portable.

A headphone jack should be connected directly to the GameCube audio out. If you put an amp in-between, you'll put on your earbuds, ready to enjoy some Mario Kart, and instead enjoy a bad case of eardrum obliteration.
