This is my first time ever make a GC portable and I want to make a BIG cut like an OMGWTF cut, but i was wondering how risky it would be considering i only have one GC and it is my first time making one.

Eerst vallen en dan opstaan.

That's Dutch for "First you have to fall to get back up."

Just give it a go. Ok you can play it safe and start with a safe cut. But where is the fun in that. Make it a challenge and take your time! I began 2 months ago and still haven't started. Read the guides and ask the nice people on the forum for help ;)

Good luck.

Be prepared to get another Gamecube, especially if you do that much cutting.
Do you have soldering experience?

Then what would be a relativity safe cut? I do not have any soldering experience either.

Yeh u got no experience? If u wanna make a GameCube Portable learn all the basics before u even touch a GameCube and research. A relatively safe cut would probably be minimalistic cut, or a medium cut. Cutting it with a dremel is the best way to go also.
