Make an easy parallel to series switch?

So for my portable, I am using two 3.7v batteries in a series to achieve 7.4v to power my portable. Although, the only way I can charge my batteries together is if I put them in parallel and then connect them to the charger. I was planning on having a switch on the outside to switch the batteries from series to parallel. The switch I already have (and would like to use if possible) is a SPST (single pole single throw) switch. Would anyone know how to wire this switch to change the batteries from series to parallel?

Here is a circuit I designed for my portable for just the occasion:

sorry its a little rough; its one of my first circuit diagrams. You would need either 2 SPDT switches or 1 DPDT switch (or 4 SPST switches ;) ). The circuit I have also disconnects the components (screen, console, speakers) from the battery. You might be able to do what ur trying to do with a SPDT if you're creative, but it won't disconnect from the components (that might be a safety hazard depending on your batteries)
