Joystick Problem

Okay so I was trying to fix my joystick today that I relocated from the gc controller board. In the process, the six solder pads on the back of the board where the joystick connects, were ripped off. Does anyone know anywhere else to be able to solder the joystick to on the controller board?

Follow the traces and solder directly on them by scrapping them a little first
i guess this should work

So I found 5 of the six traces, but I could not find any trace that leads to the one that's closest to the top of the controller.
