Is this a good dremel?

No. It's a weaksauce battery powered one. If you absolutely must have cordless, go with the lithium ion powered 8200. I have a corded 4000 and it is awesome, but the 300 will do fine. Do not cheap out and buy a cheap clone. I had one and it was flax.
 
Just spend another 30 at Walmart and get the corded 4000. It's well worth it. That one is only on and off, too. Pretty lame.

Half of the greatness of Dremels is having a variable speed.
 
I think I will check out the 4000. I saw that there was a cutting wheel that was just a disk. How does that work? like a screw with a nut to hold it on?
