so i made a portable N64 using a polaroid pdv 0700 dvd player, and i was wondering something about a surface mounted part on the board. there seems to be some solder on one of the little processor units, which im pretty sure is incorrect, and perhaps a ball of solder fell off my pencil when i wasnt looking fell on it. anyway i hadn't noticed until recently, but i was having some problems with my batteries: they where suppose to last for 3 hours but only lasted for around 50 minutes 
(in regards to my other thread). i think this may somehow be the culprit.

anyhoo, i was hoping someone with a similar model could confirm or deny this, but for the sake of experimentation, does anyone have some good tips for very thin solder removal? i have one of those balloon-type solder removers but it's kinda ineffective. any help will be greatly appreciated
