Charger Port

I'm having trouble creating s charger port for some lithium polymer batteries. Whenever I touch the multimeter to the charger port, the dial on it (analog multimeter) will go backwards. I would like to get this correct so that when charging my batteries won't blow up. Any suggestions? Thanks

Are your polarities reversed?, try putting them Opposite to the current possition.
