Benefits of SD gecko?

If I have my GC modded with a Swiss WKF what are the benefits of keeping an SD gecko wired to it? Is there things I can't load from the WKF that I can from the SD gecko? My portables case doesn't have room where I planned to fit the SD Gecko slot so I'm wondering if I should have it. Thanks!

Yes. Emulators and other tools usually won't boot from the WKF slot, and you need some sort of SD Gecko to flash Swiss again if you ever want to update. You could implement a microSD card slot and cut just a very tiny slot in the case.
