Battery for N64 battery question

The problem I am having now is that I have 3 3.7 volt batteries connected together and they are only suppose to output 11.1 volts but when I hook multimeter to it they are outputting 14.7 volts is this okay for the n64? Why are they outputting so much voltage?.

Cell ratings are when they are about half charged, true cells when charged read about 4.7v. So times 3 gives you 14.1v. Plus you don't need 3 cells, just use 2.

There's a voltage in pin, a voltage out pin, and a ground pin. Not difficult.

Dunno what you're talking about bentomo, every li ion or li po cell I've ever used has had a full charge of 4.2v, not 4.7. I've used 4 different types of lithium ion cells and 1 type of lithium polymer cell, all at 4.2v.
