What basic list of materials would you recommend for making a GCP? I already know how to make cases for portables, but I need help with the electronics!

Heres some stuff I have in my closet....

-Gamecube (duh)
-Game Cube Controller (duh)
-Portable Polaroid DVD player with 7in" screen (but dosent read dvds)
- it has a 7.4v i-ion polymer recharable battery

As for tools, I dont have a sauldering gun, i don't really know what else I would need....

Please recommend anything that will help me, or that i still need! Thanks

you won't have an easy time using a 7.4v battery on a gamecube, and the polaroid batteries are normally only 4200mah. (not nearly enough battery life altogether for a gcp)
is it a soldering (not saulderig) gun or iron? a soldering gun would be very hard to work with, I hope you realize that before killing any gamecubes
that polaroid screen will not work with your gamecube, so don't even try.
list of stuff you need:
lots of wires
solder
soldering iron
gamecube(probably a few)
gamecube controller(maybe a few)
screen(try a psone/zenith 5 inch screen)
batteries(try for a 14.4v li-po or li-ion, at least 5000 mah
case
any other stuff like heatsinks, fans, audio amps, etc.

(probably missing some stuff)

well, that's not a tool. If you have no experience, steal some from shockslayer or palmertech.(although that would lead the world into it's first hotglue flooding)(and n64's would go extinct practically overnight)

I'm a little burnt out on repeating the same post over and over again. Search the forums and you will find ALL the information you will need (tools, skills, etc).

Top of the screen, next to "FAQ" and to the left of "Members". That button will make you a portablizer, if you let it.

The most important tool is experience.
That, and knowing when a challenge is too far ahead of that experience.
Let's hope this ISN'T one of your first portables, cause if it is...
 :wtf:
GOOD LUCK.

And how many portables have you made exactly?
Shall I remind you E.L.K
I'm a total n00b, and I don't know how the Internet works.
Might wanna hold off on giving advice to other noobs  Besides, my first portable is a gamecube.
