    Splitting/switching P1 controller port

For a better idea of what I mean, here's a pic from my spare PCB(the other one has hot glue there now) That wasn't the affected pin(I screwed up, it was two after it, I don't think the pin in this pic even does anything), but it give an idea of what I ran into in case someone else does...

    Splitting/switching P1 controller port

Ha, turns out it was due to a very peculiar self inflicted issue: The pins on the controller ports were their usual stubborn selfs so to avoid(ironically) potentially tearing out the solder pad during desoldering, I used a dremel cutting wheel to carefully cut the contacts a bit over the...

    Splitting/switching P1 controller port

So, lets see if anyone can answer this one: I am modding a SNES mini for my portable project. I see some portable SNES mods using stuff like Retrons and SupaBoys which have both the internal controls and a port to plug in a legit P1 controller. Is there any way to do this with a SNES mini...

SNES grounding issues, driving me nuts

I've been working on making a portable SNES mini. But have run into an issue. I had burnt the internal fuse when I tried powering the unit with a 9V battery pack, and have bridged it(so you know what that thing in the pic is. Issue is, even though the SNES mini works fine when powered via the...

Has anyone used a Battery Pack for a portable

I'm going to try this myself on a SNES mod. I'll let you know what the results are. To clarify, I'm using a battery pack which already has separate voltage channels, and not an auto-selecting one.

    smart charger question

Is it safe to charge two batteries with one smart charger if they're connected in parallel? Unsure if that messes with the smarts of the charger or not, haven't dealt with li-ion cells much before.
