I broke a lead off of one of the caps. What should I replace it with? Image belongs to Zenloc.

So the question is in the title. What I want to do is adjust the output from a 7805 to 6v. This I know how to do. I understand that the 7805 drops out at around 7v. But will a 6v output make the dropout voltage higher? I want to use a 7.4v source.
