    Gman's Wii portable worklog

Whole point of having the board so small is to remove as many components as possible and softmodding it to play gc games. Autoboot into swiss software wise is not possible (as of yet) without the wifiboard connected sadly. Gman is doing some crazy work on trimming it so let's wait and see what...

    Gman's Wii portable worklog

Awesome stuff gman!! Is it fully working? or just booting into homebrew channel? Here a few tips which you probably already know :P : You need to rewire the wificard otherwise homebrew channel won't seek for an sd card. Also to check that your cuts are indeed working and not just booting into...

Wii bit smaller: Revisions, Die shrinks, Layers, and more

Re: Wii bit smaller: Revisions, Die shrinks, Layers, and mor Yeah sure you can use my findings. As long as you give credit  As for the cuts, made sure I cut straight, then sand with 150 grit, then scrap slightly diagonally with an exacto knife, then more sanding, then look under a...

Wii bit smaller: Revisions, Die shrinks, Layers, and more

Re: Wii bit smaller: Revisions, Die shrinks, Layers, and mor Here are some old pics of what I've done with the wii board. I believe also the smallest cut till now while retaining the original regulator. It is a C/RVL-CPU-01 model so not the most power friendly. Doing a 30 model soon enough as...

Wii bit smaller: Revisions, Die shrinks, Layers, and more

Re: Wii bit smaller: Revisions, Die shrinks, Layers, and mor AWESOME WORK!!! It has been awhile since someone has done this type of work. Looking back at the gamecube days and seeing how tiny and plentyfull the gamecube portables have become :D I'd be willing to chip in on the research. I...

    Gamecube Portable

Thanks for the info on the board. Would be interesting to see if we could make our own. 100 bucks for a charging circuit is way to expensive.... Great to see some of Ashens inspired work  Any plans for another model?

    Gamecube Portable

AWESOME!!!! Any info on the TI BQ24170 evaluation board you were using? I used a charger circuit from batterspace in my GameCubeSD model but the size isn't ideal.

    Component Cable on DOL-101 GameCube

It works without the transistor but only shows 480i. If you want 480p mode you need the transistors connected. At least in my tests thats how it work. Great work putting everything together :D

    Gamecube Component Cable

I got 2 official component cables I'm willing to sell for €100 each. One has been modded with a rgb scart plug though. Both cables have the MX chip and can be modded for VGA/Component or RGB. PM me if you are interested.

    NTSC psone screen

Re: Looking for ntsc psone screen psone screens don't accept vga. only rgb / s video(Pal boards only) and composite. I need a psone screen for a rgb modded n64 project I'm working on. It also needs to be an ntsc one as pal psone screens don't work well with ntsc sync signals. Thanks for the...

    MadebyBacteria Forum Delete?

Oh flax  That's pretty harsh man. But then again some important points were made. Each to his/her own in ways of expressing themselves though. It's a real shame most of the modding community is fading away. I am considering building a new forum if people are interested.....

    The double press dilemma

To put it simple no. I don't think it would be that much of a problem to have 2 regular tact switches stacked. That way you remove the soft and hard press. When you press one tact it will active both at the same time. Why the need for one tact? you don't have space for two?

    The double press dilemma

Let me clarify. There are 2 methods of this mod: 1. Using the transistor and resistor you will only need a single tact switch to activate the digital AND analog signals. 2. Using only 1 resistor of any ranges between 6 and 10 kohm I believe you will he able to make the analog signal activate...

    The double press dilemma

just do double tact method then put a tact in parallel with the digital tact. Done

    GameCube Fusion, rev 4.

No I haven't cut the fins like that. I will give it a try. The way I do it now is cut it down to the height of the fan without the alluminium cover. Then place the fan like you did and add a thin sheet of alluminium on the top and seal it with heat resistant glue. This way all the air gets blown...
