I bought that same screen from Ebay. It says that it needs 12v but do you know if it can run on lower voltage?

I guess I will try the other Soldering Iron I have. I know that it is more that 25w but I am not sure what exactly what it is.

Well, I screwed up. I accidentally soldered into the wrong spots so I had to do it again. The skinny soldering Iron I had died, and the wire that I use sucks. I broke a pin. I guess I will go to the electronics store and get better wire. The major problem is that I suck at soldering and I tin...

I tried to relocate the slot and once I finished I figured out I was soldering to the wrong spot. So know I have to do it again . The one problem I have is that the wires tend to brake off and I have to redo those wires. Any tips for a beginner solderer?

The Soldering iron I have is way too big. I am unable to soldering things because I end up screwing up the other wires I had finished. So I just bought a smaller one on Ebay. I probably screwed up the N64 mobo because there are some burn marks near the hole....

Stopped trying to relocate because I decided to buy a better type of wire. Today, I found a local plastic supplier and then was abe to find a psone screen for $29 at local store.

It's is all about the platinum age... On a serious note, I think it is great that a lot of people are challenging themselves to make better portables.

Still trying to wire the cartridge slot. I fail at soldering so it may take a while.

For relocating the cartridge slot, can I use any type of wire or just a certain kind?

ok, I will order a 7.4 and see if I can run off that. I am trying to open the superpad 64 color but it seems to be using a weird Phillip type screws.
