Where Can I Buy A WASP Fusion?

not at all, i never use reflow remember? i can hand solder...but i am aware of the issues homemade reflow ovens have because a toaster oven design does not ensure 100% even heat dispersal within the chamber. They dont even cook food properly, you think it will solder a PCB properly? Have you...

Where Can I Buy A WASP Fusion?

i assume by 2/3rds the size you plan to run the FFC connector to the opposite side of the board? if so take a look at that cap there and make sure you can clear it. im sure you have done proper research and have noticed that cap is in different locations depending on which motherboard you have...

Where Can I Buy A WASP Fusion?

its not impossible to hand solder the FFC connector. I always hand solder everything ... ive even hand soldered 0.4mm pitch and even soldered wired direct to a BGA because i didnt have access to proper equipment at the time to remount the BGA... many people can hand solder fine pitch components...

Where Can I Buy A WASP Fusion?

nice copy cat...but OSHpark will only make boards in 2 sizes... 1.6mm default thickness or 0.8mm thickness for an extra fee... If you have already purchased a set from oshpark and if they have arrived and if you have inspected them altready then im sure you know the 0.8mm is just a little bit...

    Reverse engineering wiikey/WASP fusion

modrobert runs eurasia.nu ....good guy and trustworthy to purchase from... just keep in mind he sells WASP as is (untested) and does not pre-flash swiss onto WASP.... you will have to flash swiss yourself which means you will need a WBFS formatted card with a swiss iso, a FAT32 card with swiss...

    Reverse engineering wiikey/WASP fusion

yes there were updates but you need to understand how it all works together... there are "three firmwares".... 1. the FPGA flash which handles directional IO this is locked down by nature of actel..there is some article about hacking a proasic 3 is you have nothing to do and want something to...

    Issue with Wasp/Swiss/wiring?

if you can boot into swiss that should eliminate your connectivity from mainboard to V6... since you are not stuck on "wkf init" i also assume you have a recent version of swiss...r325 or r326.... when you mentioned about loading from SD Gecko, was it this particular card or a different one...

    Reverse engineering wiikey/WASP fusion

i have already reversed the entire pinout...its a useless effort since the FPGA is locked down.. there is no way to simply dump the FPGA contents... also the SPI flash has other special instructions in it that will be required if someone wanted to make their own WKF/WASP...not to mention it will...

Charge n Play, Audio Amp, and low Battery indicator

i still need to test my version... i did some preliminary testing and it worked out using other device (not GC) ill need to grab some TI regulators and batteries/chargers to fully test and confirm... bentomo has really gone far out and beyond with such a great project.... i look forward to...

    reasons for a broken wiikey

there is only one way to troubleshoot this: desolder the wires and see it if starts up... if there was a short im sure you would have other issues with the GC in general but if the problems did not start till you tried to solder those connections then you need to suspect that is related to the...

Gc stock reg outputs wrong voltages

Re: Gc stock reg outputs no voltages if you dont see anything obvious then certainly no one here will be able to also... might be best to tear it down and solder it over again...

    WASP loading issue?

soldering to either side of the filters is fine....think about this: V5 is soldered onto the DVD port pads on the filtered side V6 is soldered to the "unfiltered" side.... it doesnt make a difference, i mix and match both sides when doing V6...whatever works to make contact is good enough...

    WASP loading issue?

i dont really see anything obvious....might want to check pin23 on the FFC connector...make sure there is no short there... also double check DVD filters pin 7 and 9 to make sure there is no short there also...
