Stream Steam to secondary screen?

Yeah, Project Shield will do this, but I already have a HTPC, any way I can 'stream' or whatever my PC upstairs to my HDTV downstairs, grab a controller and enjoy me some steam games on a bigger television?

I know this is likely very possible, but I can't think of a program off the top of my head. Shame that VNC is slow and doesn't work at all with most games.

Yeah, shield got me thinking because I have e hardware already to do this, maybe I'll have to look into it

Well, my laptop came with a WI-DI card on it. So if I felt the need to drop 30$ on a receiver I could use that.

Personally, I would just punch some holes through the floor and run a video cable and a usb extension down there, but I'm rather more comfortable with punching holes in my walls than most folks.
