Sega Nomad, battery life improvement

This isn't anything particularly amazing or impressive, but I just did it and thought I'd post it.

I removed the CFL backlight from the Sega Nomad, and replaced it with two LED lights, and it should add about an hour or so to the battery life. It looks stock when in use.

Did you take the transformer out?

If so, was there a contact point on it that put out 5V without it?

The transformer took 5V. I removed it, though. I pulled 6V from another spot on the board to power two LEDs.

Thanks for the guide. As soon as I get my borked screen working again, I'd like to do the same to my Nomad.
