Hello forum !

i have a Phat PSP 1000 laying around that i no longer use.
and i was wondering if i can use some of its components for other projects.
now i know you can probly use the buttons for anything etc.
as im looking to get some nice parts for my N64 Portable so i will maybe use the joystick.

but the main question is can i use the screen or is that a very difficult task ?

You can't use the screen without making a custom driver board for it, which would be a hard and expensive project. I think the PSP joystick have low range so it isn't that nice to use with an n64. Why not sell it and buy parts for the money?

yeah i could do that shame is tho its a pink one and i cant imagine someone paying alot for it.
especially because its the very first version the Phat 1000.

also something is wrong with the screen it could be sun burn or maybe moist ?
can anyone indentify this problem ? you can see it on the left and top of the screen.

You could always homebrew it to play the old school stuff. I had an old 1000 and updated it to 6.60, then applied an updater program that "jailbroke" it. It has full psp functionality and now can read psp games from the mem stick as well as any ps1, nes, snes, gbc, gba games. Probably does more to, but that's all I used it for. Gave it to my brother. he loved it. It's really easy too.
