Okay, So I just wanted to clear this up. Which N64 mobo can I RGB mod? Is it only the Rev 3 board or can I also do it on a rev 2 or rev 4 board? I've heard differing things. Some people said you need a signal amplifier for the RGB, others have done it without the use of an amp. Has anyone here done the RGB mod for the n64 and can tell me for sure what boards it works with? Thanks in advance.
It looks like every N64 prior to revision 5 can be modded easily for RGB by soldering to the ENC-NUS chip; I spent today and yesterday modding this cheapo 5 dollar TV to take direct RGB and it looks great this way. Most revision 5 N64s don't seem to be RGB capable, but a few have (the ones that don't have -01 at the end).
