Hey guys,

I'm finally getting around to making a finished projects thread for my Wii U Laptop, thanks to a little push by Progmetalman.

Specs:

17" 1080p screen from a Dell XPS M1730
Fully Functioning Wii U all in one unit
Driver board from NJYtouch
Built in power regulator
Stereo audio
1080p picture
Built in Sensor

Awesome! :awesome:
Can we get some pics from other angles too?
Also, technically the screen is 1200p, as the M1730's screen resolution is 1920x1200. :)

True, but anything in the 1920 range is considered 1080p. It's weird I know, but I think it's just so people don't get confused by all of the numbers.

As for pictures, no, I don't have any more. I'll see if I can't take more later.

Awesome! I didn't expect a wii u laptop for quite some time,
it looks pretty cool too great job!

Holy Heck, didn't think I'd see one of these for a while. The video quality looks so crisp too. Nice work!

Thanks guys. I was actually surprised that no one tried to make one before me actually.

Hot Dang that came out nice! Video looks beautiful.
Got any dimensions?
Internal pics?
How cool does it run?

I have some pics of the inside as well as a brief worklog here.

As for dimensions, it's pretty beastly. It's 16 (L) x 11 (W) x 2 (D). And for cooling, I actually used a giant blower fan designed for cooling Computer GPUs so it stays plenty cool. This was confirmed during it's use in a recent 12 hour Super Smash Brothers tournament.

This is beautiful, great job! 1080P is rare to see on a portable of any kind, matching to native output is even rarer.

Exactly, that screen is perfect!
