NOAC AV Filtering

Hello,

On the NOAC, there is a capacitor for the Audio Line and a transistor, resistor, and capacitor on the Video line. Would it be alright to remove these without any adverse side effects?

Thanks

I just wired everything up and it requires the extra filtering. The signal is black and white and horrible quality without it.

I will post a worklog soon, but first I must warn that the stickied NOAC guide is incredibly wrong. There are places where the ground and 5v lines are mixed up and the guide also claims that all of this filtering can be bypassed.

NOACs seem to have a history of subtle differences between revisions like that though— Super Joy IIIs had varieties of different controller pinouts and cartridge connectors if I'm not mistaken, and every early NOAC had the same compatibility issues (most notably, the ignorance of the duty cycle command on the sound hardware, giving every game a characteristic twangy sound).
