JoyStick on GBA Help

Hi everyone,
I am wanting to mod a GBA to have a gamecube type joystick.
Ive been searching for info and havent found much detail on what has to go into except for this

I dont think a normal size joystick will fit inside a GBA. That sort of limits your project. You could use a 3ds slider, but you could not follow the guide you posted then.

You’ll have to find a wiring diagram, because, unfortunately, this hasn’t really been done.
