Joeys MiniCube - Near Completion

    front of the case is pretty much done until the screen gets here, all buttons mounted and wired up. just waiting on the wiikey so I can do some testing.

    That looks pretty nice! Shame you cant paint it....

    yeah it kinda sucks. Been funding this by selling some games but I really don't want to sell another game just so I can buy paint.

    how much does your paint cost? mine cost like 5 bucks

    Usually around $8-$9.

    Get it from walmart and its like 3-4 bucks

    Looks like I'm probably going to have to make a spacer for this, having problems closing the case and I haven't even gotten the screen or wiikey yet.

    with or without heat sink?

    With the heatsink. It's mostly due to the fact that i ended up using a third party controller so it couldn't be trimmed up as much unless I wanted to trace it and solder to the traces.

    Some progress being made. It seems to freeze as soon as it gets to the menu though, any ideas?
    edit: its not that it freezes, but the controller doesn't function after booting the wiikey menu.

    Assuming you're not a noob, you know you use D-Pad UP & D-Pad DOWN to navigate and D-Pad Left & D-Pad Right to launch the game, right?

    I've never heard of the menu freezing before. :\

    just checked and my 3.3v to the controller came undone haha. hadn't realized it until after I posted. I know how to navigate a menu :p.

    Just a tip if anyone else wants to solder theirs like this. Don't forget that flux is your friend.

    Slot B SD card slot wired up and working :)
