Handheld nes not reading cart x(

Hey guys. I've been working on a portable nes using original hardware. Wanted to play it safe and keep the rf box as I tried without and failed the first time. all was going well until I soldered the cart slot on. I double checked all the soldering and I've got no bridging that I can see and suddenly it's not reading any carts. Anyone have this problem?

Make sure you have it wired up correctly and that the cart is in inserted in the correct position. The way games are inserted in the toaster normally is strange so wiring up a new slot is kind of confusing, almost backwards and inside out I guess is a way I would describe it. It took me a couple tries to get it right as well. Here's a picture of my board and how the cart is wired up correctly.

Yeah I definitely had that direction right. That wasn't the problem, I just somehow fried the board. Moved on to a new board now and it's working A-ok. Gonna post the finished product in the next few days or so.
Thanks for actually replying to my post though lol.
