Fleshing out an idea (Car Cube)

So, I'm thinking about making a gamecube just for the car. I think it'd be a pretty straight forward mod, no batteries, using OEM controllers, etc. Something I can play when waiting around in my car.

1.) Would running a cube/screen off of my car's 12V cigarette lighter adapter be a good idea? Potential to harm the car or the gamecube that I should be aware of?

2.) would headphone OUT audio be pretty easy? My car doesn't have any fancy audio system, but it would be pretty rad none-the-less to have LoZ music coming through the car system as I play.

I thinking something I can store in the center console and some way or propping up the screen when in use. I have a WASP, not sure if I'll use it or not though.

1- they are usually rated for 5-15 amps so it shouldn't be an issue. I run my gcp off my car's 12V with no problems.
2- As simple as soldering three wires to a headphone jack l-r-gnd

If you do something that simple for headphones only use it for aux. If you want to use actual headphones you'll need some sort of amp.
