I've got a Motorola Droid running 2.1. I want to update to 2.2. I know that I'm rooted, but whenever I use the ROM manager to try to do something that requires root (like flashing the recovery) it says it doesn't have the permissions. I also can't boot into recovery anymore holding power and x. I used to be able to do this. Does anyone know what's wrong or how to fix it?

What custom rom are you running?

Also, try opening the app "superuser permissions" if you have it and make sure that Rom Manager has the correct permissions.

I'm running stock 2.1. I updated from stock 2.0.1. Opening superuser permissions just gives me a black screen. How do I give ROM Manager permissions?
