Ok, so I have two dreamcasts with the later revision motherboard that won't read disks. I thought the lasers were the problems, but no amount of fiddling with the pots could get them to work. hmm. So I got another gd-rom drive from a member here and it gave me the same problems. I then decided to try the laser from my earlier revision dreamcast that I use every day and.....it didn't work either. I then took the old lasers and the replacement and tried them all in my good dreamcast and they all load games without problems. So this means there is an issue with the dreamcasts themselves and not the lasers. Anybody have this happen before? I have searched and never heard of a non laser related disk read issue with these. perhaps there is a fuse to replace?
